The Magic of Christmas. Krakow Christmas Market 2011

Christmas Market is an excellent alternative to hipermarket madness, as well as an opportunity to purchase an original Christmas gift for your beloved. It's a tradition cultivated in Europe, dating back many years back.

Krakow Christmas Market in no way differ from those in Vienna or Berlin. In recent years, have become a huge tourist attraction during the Christmas time for both the Polish tourists, as well as abroad.

For the duration of the market Krakow Market Square turns into a Christmas fair, which attracts both the atmosphere and tasting not only the Christmas delicacies such as pierogi, but also dishes from the grill or unique Galician hot wine. The fair will be accompanied by an unusual series of events and meetings: Santa Claus from Lapland, accompanied by helpers on bikes,  pageants or singing carols with the artists of "Loch Camelot."

What will it be possible to buy? Apart from ornaments of Christmas, festive floral table decorations and other decorations, also ceramics, the wooden ware, wools, cloths, the artistic glass, the jewellery and various souvenirs.

Peculiarly we recommend the annual competition for the traditional Cracow shed. 1 December (c hr 12) beneath the monument to Adam Mickiewicz authors of sheds will meet, in order to with colourful procession to reach to the stage of the Fair. Person in charge of the march Mieczysław Czuma and Leszek Mazan, will present sheds and authors (presentations will be translated into English). That's all in the company of Christmas carols .

The Krakow Christmas Market will last from 26.11 - 26.12.
